We are putting together the 2026 Athol Bird and Nature Club calendar. In the past many have submitted photos/images for consideration to be used. Believe it or not, the most difficult part of the project is having enough images to review that are appropriate for each month. We usually have many for May – August, but not so many for the early spring, winter and fall months. Furthermore, we typically have many bird and mammal images, but not so many plant, insect, reptile, amphibian, or other nature related subjects.
A variety of photos from as many photographers makes the calendar more interesting. Try to include a variety of subjects, not just birds (but don’t forget the birds!). There is one main requirement – the photo must be taken in the North Quabbin area.
We have need of images for the main month’s subject, and smaller images for the blank cells in the date part. Landscape oriented images are required. Images in focus and not heavily cropped are best!! We will get back to you if there are questions.
