Children’s Parties
Nature-themed parties for children, ages 4 to 12
We are proud to offer nature-themed parties for children in an enjoyable and educational manner. Celebrate your child’s birthday with a custom themed event that includes a safe outdoor nature activity, related crafts, songs and games. The sky is the limit when it comes to themes: ideas include owls, rocks, birds, butterflies, bears, creepy crawlies and more!

WHO?
Parties are for up to 12 children. Numbers can be rearranged with advanced communication. Two Nature Club volunteers will help your guests enjoy their event. The family will also provide two adults at the party.
WHEN?
Up to you!
Request a date and time of two hours.
WHERE?
The Miller’s River Environmental Center (MREC) is at 100 Main St, Athol. The Center houses the Nature Club’s natural history collection, as well as meeting spaces for other environmental groups.
What to expect…
Outdoor Nature Activity
A naturalist-led hike or nature activity based on season, age of attendees or physical limitations. The parent or party contact person will receive a list of suggested guidelines for a safe activity out of doors.
Party Schedule Includes:
- Welcome and review of safety rules
- Approximately 45-minute nature walk with guides
- Themed craft/song/games
- Exploration of display rooms if time permits
- Compostable tableware, plates, bowls, flatware, cups (ABNC promotes these earth-friendly materials!)
Family Provides:
- Refreshments, goodie bags or favors if you wish, decorations and clean-up.
- If time is requested for opening of gifts, we will adjust as needed.
Some Theme Ideas Include:
Owls, Rocks, Beavers, Birds, Turtles, Plants, Butterflies, Bears, Creepy Crawlies
We have a crew of volunteers who can put together meaninful and age appropriate learning and fun!
Children’s Party Package: $150
If an involved craft (i.e. owl pellets or bird feeders) is requested, there may be an additional fee.
