Bloodstone

Bloodstone is a chalcedony type quartz mineral, green in color with jasper blood-like red spots.  Bloodstone suitable for gem-cutting can be found on Blood, Bomb, Hermit’s and Zona Islands as well as other locales. I know of none in the New England area.

Bloodstone’s healing properties lie in keeping the blood clean and purifying it. Bloodstone purportedly gives one personal courage, inner confidence, strength and miracle powers to some individuals.
