MWCC TO OFFER GRANT WRITING COURSE at MREC
(ATHOL)–Included in its spring course offerings, Mount Wachusett Community College will offer a non-credit course in Athol on “Fundamentals of Grant Writing.” Students of the course will learn about how to research both local grants and national opportunities, as well as how to actually secure, deliver, and manage a grant.
The objectives of the course are to help students realize the diversity of potential funding opportunities, how to research and identify potential funding sources, addressing guidelines of proposals, matching projects with funding agencies, and to effectively write key elements of a proposal that stand out against scores of competing submissions.
The cost of the course is $195 and it will meet weekly on Monday evenings between March 3rd and April 14th from 7-9 pm at the Environmental Center, 100 Main Street, Athol. Senior citizens 60 and over may be eligible for a 50% discount in the tuition/fee.
