North Quabbin
Garden Club
The purpose of the North Quabbin Garden Club is to encourage interest in all phases of home gardening, to promote better horticultural practices, and to foster civic beauty, with an emphasis on native plants, organic gardening, and the conservation of natural resources.
- Holds meetings featuring informative speakers or workshop sessions
- Offers member discounts at local nurseries
- Works on a wildlife habitat garden at the Millers River Environmental Center
- Supports other civic gardens or town beautification projects in member towns
- Supports local conservation efforts and fosters understanding of native plants and wildlife
- Explores other garden interests via field trips and committees
- Holds a spring sale of perennial plants and specialty items
- Gives members information, hands-on experiences, satisfaction and fun
